The mission of the Church is global—God’s love and the power of the Gospel are meant for all people, everywhere. Light the Fire for Missions is our way of inviting our church family to actively engage in that mission, especially in the Spanish-speaking world. By partnering with The Wesley Heritage Foundation (WHF), you're able to directly support pastors and church leaders who are making a real difference in their communities across Latin America and the U.S. Additionally, this event provides a simple but meaningful way to grow spiritually while helping others. Through a small act—skipping a meal, praying, and giving to support global mission work—we can each be part of lighting the fire of revival and transformation in communities that need it most. The Holy Spirit can change someone's life, and we want to help spread that transformation by equipping leaders and reaching people with the hope of the Gospel. Plus, it’s a chance for our church to come together, build fellowship, and share in the joy of fulfilling Jesus’ Great Commission, both near and far.

Light the Fire for Missions is for everyone! People of all ages can get involved—whether you're a child, youth, young adult, or senior. This event is designed to help each of us grow closer to God and engage in God’s global mission. Children and youth can learn the value of spending time with God and supporting God's work around the world. Adults of all ages will find a fun and meaningful way to deepen their spiritual lives, connect with others, and experience the joy of being part of God’s mission. Whether you’re new to the Christian faith or have been walking with God for years, this is an opportunity for everyone to grow spiritually, be inspired, and help spread the Gospel worldwide.

Participation is simple. Sign up, skip a meal and spend time with God, donate what you’d spend on the meal, and gather with others to share about your experience—your family, roommates, small group, Sunday school class, or others. INSTRUCTIONS Sign up to participate at www.wesleyheritage.org/lightthefire. We'll send you a welcome email with instructions (shown below). Think about someone to invite to participate with you. Send them to our sign-up page to get registered. Pick a meal to skip and spend time with God instead. During your skipped meal, use a devotional we've prepared to guide your prayer and quiet time. After the skipped meal, donate what you would’ve spent on the meal via our donation page here. Host or help coordinate a cookout or meal gathering where you share about your experience of God! Use the second devotional as a guide for your sharing.
