From Survival to Revival:
Lessons from Wesley and the Global Church.
Many Christians today feel stuck—caught by spiritual apathy in churches with declining participation and influence. The Gospel offers more than just survival—it promises transformation, holiness, and life in the Spirit. In this interactive workshop, we explore how the vibrant spirituality of John Wesley and the early Methodist revival can ignite a fresh movement of discipleship and mission today. Drawing from both the historic Wesleyan movement and the lived faith of vibrant Spanish-speaking churches across the Americas, we offer a fresh look at Christian spiritual formation that is holistic, practical, and deeply rooted in grace. Participants will gain new vision for personal and corporate renewal, discover practices that cultivate deep spiritual growth, and leave equipped to foster revival in their own communities.
By the end of the session, participants will:
-
Understand the core principles and practices of Wesleyan spirituality
-
Explore how these shaped the early Methodist revival and its global legacy
-
Learn from the powerful expressions of Wesleyan faith in the Spanish-speaking world
-
Receive practical tools to begin implementing a life of full discipleship and Spirit-empowered mission in their own context

The Wesleyan Way of Mission:
Discipleship that Spreads, Love that Transforms.
In recent years, the focus of mission has shifted from just evangelism to a deeper emphasis on disciple-making—a practice at the heart of Jesus’ Great Commission. History shows that healthy, multiplying churches thrive where disciple-making is central. This workshop explores how John Wesley’s approach to Christian discipleship offers a time-tested and culturally adaptable model for mission today. Participants will rediscover the powerful, missional impulse behind Wesley’s method—how it was rooted in personal transformation, mutual accountability, and the multiplication of leaders and communities. We’ll connect the dots between: - Wesley’s vision of spreading scriptural holiness, - The role of small groups and lay leadership, - And the global movement of mission today. Ideal for pastors, mission committees, and lay leaders, this session is designed to inspire and equip churches to take simple, practical steps toward a more intentional disciple-making culture—one that brings transformation not just within church walls, but throughout neighborhoods and nations.
By the end of the session, participants will:
-
Recover Wesley’s missional vision — understand how John Wesley’s movement was fundamentally outward-facing, discipleship-driven, and rooted in the Great Commission.
-
Explore the "method" behind the Methodist movement — discover how class meetings, lay leadership, and spiritual disciplines functioned as tools for disciple-making and multiplication.
-
Connect Wesleyan DNA to global mission today — reflect on how these same practices are thriving in parts of the Global Church and can inspire fresh application in local contexts.
-
Assess their church’s mission posture — evaluate current disciple-making practices and identify barriers or opportunities for deeper impact.
-
Leave with practical steps — receive tools and ideas for starting or strengthening intentional disciple-making efforts in their churches or small groups.

Reach with Others, Not Just to Them:
Discovering the Power of Co-Mission in a Divided World.
What if your next disciple-making partner speaks a different language? Or, what if your church’s next discipleship breakthrough came from the Hispanic church down the road? Many churches want to make disciples but often overlook the powerful potential of doing so with others across cultural lines. In this session, we’ll explore how churches can pursue the Great Commission by partnering with the vibrant, Spirit-led Hispanic churches in their communities. Drawing from Wesleyan spirituality, Global South disciple-making models, and best practices in intercultural partnerships, this training will challenge and equip participants to multiply disciples through relationships, not just programs. Discover practical ways to build relationships, share mission, and multiply disciples—together.
By the end of the session, participants will:
-
Reimagine the Great Commission as co-mission—a shared, Spirit-led calling across cultures and communities.
-
Recognize the often-overlooked strengths of Hispanic churches and leaders as vital contributors to disciple-making in the U.S.
-
Understand how disciple-making in Global South and Hispanic contexts reflects biblical principles and offers needed correctives to monocultural models.
-
Identify key barriers to intercultural disciple-making partnerships—and learn how to overcome them through humility, hospitality, and shared leadership.
-
Gain practical tools and first steps to build trust, foster relationship, and initiate shared mission with Hispanic believers and ministries.
-
Leave inspired to pursue a richer vision of the church—one that reflects the unity and diversity of the body of Christ in real, local ways.
